Why do we fight?
Society overwhelmed by hate in flight
Words of odious
hatred scorching
Ills of fate that lead to mourning
How pray tell will we make it through?
When hate and greed
guide me and you
Control and power is all we seek
While families sunder and hearts they bleed
Children await with
open arms
given by the love of an omnipotent one.
Can we learn from watching as they play?
Together in harmony
irregardless of race, creed, or color
Superficiality they do not see
Tell me Lord will it ever cease?
Can
we learn from Heaven's seed?
